Description

This is an early to mid-18th century house located on the north side of Fore Street in Witheridge. The house is constructed with a rubble core and is finished with a pebbledash and whitewash exterior, topped with a slate roof with lead ridges. A tall brick chimney stack is situated to the left. The original layout comprised two rooms, one behind the other, divided by a hall with a main entrance on the right.

The front of the house features a two-story canted bay window with 16-pane sash windows on both floors. Side windows are 8-pane sashes, while a further sash window with 12 panes is found in a lean-to addition to the left. The ground floor includes a doorway with a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected, but may retain 18th century joinery. The property occupies a prominent roadside position.
