Description
Trafalgar House is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier and was remodeled around the mid-19th century. It was reroofed around 1960. The building is rendered and pebbledashed on rubble, featuring a gabled slated roof with wide eaves and brick stacks at the rear. The layout consists of three rooms with a through-passage plan, with each room heated by a rear lateral stack. In the 19th century, the passage was blocked by an inserted stair.
The exterior is two storeys high with four windows, featuring 12-pane sash windows with raised cement surrounds, except for a casement window in the third bay on the first floor. There is a door opening in the third bay, which has a half-glazed door in a cement surround. Inside, the house retains all its mid-Victorian features, including the staircase, chimneypieces, and joinery. The roof was completely replaced around 1960.
