Description

The stable range, which includes a smoking room and a stick room, is located approximately 10 meters northeast of Tapeley Park House. This building dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with burnt headers. It features a slate roof that is hipped at the right end and abuts the dairy range on the left. The structure is rectangular in plan and consists of a series of rooms used as storerooms, standing two storeys high with an irregular front.

There are five doorways, three of which have flat brick arches and plank doors. The two doorways towards the right are wider and feature rectangular overlights and timber lintels. On the first floor, there is a two-light mullioned transomed window to the left of a two-light loft opening, and a loading door to the right with a plank door. The fittings in the smoking room remain intact. The stable range is situated on the west side of a patterned cobbled courtyard at the rear of the dairy range.
