Description
No. 54 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 18th century and was altered in the early 19th century. The building features solid rendered front and left side walls and has a slated roof. There are red brick chimneys on each side wall, with the right chimney being heightened in a different shade of red brick. The house is three storeys tall and has a three-window range. The shop front was added in the late 20th century. The middle window on the upper storey is blind, while the outer windows have plain box-framed sashes. There is a large boxed, dentilled eaves cornice, which is likely from the 18th century. The interior has not been inspected.
