Description
This building is a barn with loose boxes attached to the rear, located approximately 30 metres north-east of Tapeley Park House. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stone rubble and brick, topped with a hipped slate roof. The barn has a rectangular shape, featuring a brick pedimented gable at the centre, which includes seven rows of pigeon holes above a large segmental arched doorway. This doorway is fitted with double plank doors that have moulded stiles and rails, giving them the appearance of panelled doors. To the right of the main entrance, there is a loft door, and there are plank doors on either side of the ground floor. At the rear, there are lean-to loose boxes on either side of a central threshing floor doorway, with the roof extending over the space between.
