Description

This early 19th-century granary and stables stands 2 metres east of Chelfham Barton Farmhouse. The building is constructed of stone rubble, with some breeze block patching to the rear, and a rendered facade that hides light scantling timber framing on the front wall. It has a slate roof with gable ends. The two-storey structure comprises a granary above stables. External stone steps lead to a plank door on the first floor, centrally located at the front, and a smaller plank door is present at ground level on the left side. The building is included on the list for group value, forming a good grouping with the farmhouse, granary and stables, piggeries and yard walls.
