Description
The stables and granary, located approximately 12 meters southeast of Chilswell Farmhouse, date back to the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature a gabled artificial slate roof. The building is one storey high and has a three-window range. To the left of the three window openings, there is a doorway with timber lintels and a very worn medieval capital positioned above it. Stone steps lead up to an early 19th-century brick doorway with a segmental arch, which provides access to the granary in the left gable wall. Inside, the building has chamfered beams, and the loft is supported by a five-bay post-and-pad roof, which has been partly rebuilt.
