Description
Hill View and Myrtle Cottage are two houses dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble and feature a gabled roof covered with 20th-century tiles. The ridge stack is made of stone and finished in 20th-century brick. The buildings are arranged in an L-plan with a rear right wing. They are two storeys tall and have a front that features a tall two-window range with timber lintels above 20th-century casements. The rear right wing, built with similar materials, also has a two-storey, two-window range and provides an entry to No. 3. There is a 20th-century porch and extension to the left for No. 1. Inside, the houses have cased and stop-chamfered beams. Winder stairs located at the rear of the stack lead up to the attic, which has a roof supported by curved principles with collars and butt purlins.
