Description
No. 44 Manor Road is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is built of uncoursed limestone rubble and features a gabled roof covered with 20th-century concrete tiles. The house has a rendered end stack that is finished in brick. It has a one-unit lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The front has timber lintels above a 20th-century door with a porch and an early 19th-century ten-pane sash window. The first floor includes a 19th-century fixed-light casement window, and there is a gabled late 19th-century roof dormer. At the rear left, there is a stair-turret made of similar materials, along with a 20th-century outshut. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
