Description
A farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, dating to the late 17th century with a rear wing added in the late 18th century, and a main range constructed in the late 18th century. The building is constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble with a gabled roof covered in artificial stone slates, and features a stone ridge stack finished in brick. It has a three-unit plan. The late 18th century features include a stone doorcase with an entablature framing a 20th-century four-panelled door, and a timber lintel above a 19th-century four-panelled door to the left (No. 21). There are also roughcast timber lintels over 19th-century three- and four-light mullioned casement windows. A late 18th-century service wing projects forward from the left bay, constructed of similar materials. A late 17th-century cross-wing to the left, originally timber-framed, is now clad in limestone rubble and brick, with one storey and an attic. A further 18th-century wing to the rear right is built of stone and artificial stone slate, and is two storeys high with a one-bay range. The interior of the 17th-century wing contains a queen-post roof and jowled posts. A partial inspection only was possible.
