Description

Hinksey Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from approximately 1770 to 1780. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a gabled old tile roof and brick ridge and end stacks. The building follows a “T” shape, with a wing extending from the rear right. It is two storeys and an attic in height, with a three-window facade on the right-hand side. A keyed flat stone arch frames a 19th-century four-panelled door with an overlight. Eight-pane sash windows are present, except for a 20th-century French window to the left of the door, and a stone lintel over the four-pane sash window above the door. The roof has two dormers with 20th-century two-light casements.

The rear wing is constructed of similar materials and features a half-hipped roof and an internal stack. There is an outshut to the left. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
