Description
This is a late 17th and early 18th century house, which was remodelled and extended in the 1950s and 1960s. It is constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble, with a half-hipped thatched roof and a stack that has since been removed. The original plan consisted of two units. The house has one storey and an attic, with a two-window front. A timber lintel sits above a 19th-century plank door, which is set within a 20th-century stone porch. The window openings feature a timber lintel over a 19th-century two-light window on the right, and a 20th-century two-light casement on the left. A tall gabled dormer has a late 18th or early 19th-century three-light casement with a turnbuckle to the opening iron light. The interior includes stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops and winder stairs to the right. The first floor has a timber-framed partition with an arched doorhead, windbraces to the right, and a collar truss in the right end wall. The building is included on the list for its group value.
