Description
This is a mid-to-late 18th-century house located on the east side of North Hinksey village. It was originally listed together with numbers 12, 22, and 26. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a roughcast wall on the right side and a thatched half-hipped roof. The rear of the house features weatherboarded outshuts. A stack, originally finished in stone but later rebuilt in 20th-century brick, is positioned at the rear left. The house has a one-unit outshut plan with a left cross wing. The single storey is punctuated by an attic. The front facade presents a two-window range. The entrance is a C20 plank door with a chamfered timber lintel. Early 20th-century two- and three-light casements are found on either side of the door and in the upper floors. A two-light dormer casement is visible in the roof. The interior contains a 19th-century fireplace on the left. The first floor has not been inspected.
