Description

The building is a granary, likely originally a stable with a granary above, located 3 meters to the west of Barton Farmhouse. It dates from around the mid-19th century and is constructed of stone rubble with a rag slate roof featuring half-hipped ends. The structure has a rectangular plan, probably with a stable on the ground floor and a granary above. There are steps leading up to the loft at the rear elevation. The front has a two-storey elevation with a central opening on both the ground and first floors, which are dressed with granite. The rear elevation includes stone rubble steps leading up to a plank door of the granary. Inside, the loft features a bolted roof. This granary is part of a group with Barton Farmhouse to the right.
