Description

The gate piers and walls at the entrance to Pilton House from Pilton Street date from the early 19th century. The gates were presented in memory of Lady Peto in 1949, as noted on a plaque. The structure features rendered brick walls and piers. The tall walls curve inward toward the gateway, and the square-section piers have moulded strings at the top level of the wall and projecting cornices beneath their tiered caps. This structure is included for its group value with Pilton House.
