Description
No. 86 Pilton Street is an early 19th-century house located in Barnstaple. It features solid rendered walls and a slated roof, standing two storeys high with a garret. The house has a two-window range and a round-arched doorway on the left, which contains a six-panelled door with the bottom two panels flush and a cobweb fanlight above. Stone steps lead up from the street, adorned with coloured patterned tiles on the risers. All three windows are 8-paned sashes. The building has a bracketed eaves cornice, likely added in the late 19th century, and a gabled dormer of a similar date, which has paired sashes at the front and glazed panels on the sides, along with a bracketed cornice on the front and sides and plain barge-boards. The interior has not been inspected.
