Description
This barn, located about 30 metres north-west of Grilstone, is likely from the early 19th century or possibly earlier. It is constructed of cob on stone rubble footings, with the cob rendered on the north-west side. The roof is made of corrugated iron over thatch and is hipped at both ends. The barn has a long rectangular shape and serves to enclose the garden behind Grilstone. The exterior features a lofted design, with the north-west elevation showcasing two loft doors and one window. The right side has one ground floor door and a loft window. This barn is part of an irregular and visually appealing group of farm buildings situated north-west of Grilstone.
