Description
The Barn, located 60 metres west of The Grange, is a barn dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble that is coursed, with a half hipped plain clay tile roof resting on stone slate base courses. The barn has a three-bay layout in a 'T' plan, featuring a projection on the west side that has a hipped roof and a pair of full-height boarded doors, along with modern doors on the opposite wall. It includes vertical ventilation slits and a small casement window positioned high in the south gable. There is a lean-to on the north gable and another lean-to at the north-west corner. This well-preserved barn is part of a notable group with The Grange and the stables.
