Description
The gatepiers to the main entrance drive, located approximately 50 metres south-west of Tawstock Court, date from the 18th century, while the cob wall and courtyard entrance are from the 17th century. The gatepiers are made of ashlar stone, featuring a square section with moulded caps that are topped by dogs. The cob wall extends east from the left side pier and includes a slate pentice roof over a porch. This porch has a 17th-century chamfered door surround and old double plank doors, each door consisting of ten panels with cover strips.
