Description
The linhay located to the south-west of Holwell Farmhouse is a 18th-century structure that includes a gabled outbuilding at its left end. The linhay is constructed from stone rubble and features a corrugated iron roof, gabled at the right end. It consists of seven bays with a loft, and the bays are separated by cylindrical stone rubble piers. The ground floor space between the piers is partly filled with stone rubble. The adjoining outbuilding, which has been largely reconstructed in the late 20th century, is also made of stone rubble, with its left end wall built from concrete block. On the front of this outbuilding, at the left, there is a re-sited mullioned window that was originally taken from a ruined barn on the site. The linhay and outbuilding have group value with Holwell Farmhouse.
