Description

CULLOMPTON COLEBROOK LANE ST 00 NW 5/88 - Colebrooke Court - II Farmhouse. Possibly C17, largely remodelled in the early-mid-C19. Cob, stone plinth plastered, under hipped slate roof. Probably a 3-room, cross-passage plan with a rear wing; the main range completely remodelled in the C19; now an L-shaped building with end stacks to main range, axial stack to wing, all with plastered brick shafts. 2 storeys. Front: Symmetrical 3-window range; all hornless sash windows, the panes to outer windows at 1st floor level, 12 to centre; 20 and 24-pane (the latter renewed) to ground floor. Central porch with square columns, fluted pilasters, plain canopy, panelled reveals and door. Left-hand side elevation with one 16-pane sash window, otherwise C20 metal framed casements. One chamfered beam visible in wing, but interior not inspected.
