Description

The Kingswell headstone, located about 9 metres north-west of the tower of the Church of St Mary, is an early 19th-century stone headstone. It features a segmental shouldered head and commemorates John Kingswell, who died in 1800. The headstone includes a verse below the inscription that reads: "Affliction for a long time I bore / Physicians were in vain / Till God pleased death should me seize / To ease my of my pain."
