Description

Three headstones, dating from the late 17th century, are located approximately 6 meters northwest of the north-west corner of the Church of St Mary in Charlton Kings. They are made of limestone and consist of two rectangular stones. One features an incised scroll motif, while the other has an incised oval tablet with flowers at the corners; both inscriptions have eroded over time. The third headstone is adorned with scrolls that almost form a swan-neck pediment, and its inscription is also eroded, possibly commemorating Anne, who died in 1694, the wife of Walter Man.
