Description

Applegarth is a detached cottage located on King Street in Silverton, dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of plastered cob with stone footings and features a gable-end thatched roof with end stacks that have brick shafts. It has a two-room plan, with one room on either side of a central entrance. The cottage is two stories tall and has a front that is roughly symmetrical, with a tall, two-window range. The first floor has 19th-century two- and three-light casement windows, while the ground floor features two-light windows and a central panelled door.
