Description
The New Inn is a mid-19th century public house located on the west side of Fore Street, Silverton. It is built of rendered material with a painted brick front, and has a gabled roof covered in pantiles. The building is three storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. All windows are hornless sash windows; the upper sashes of the second-floor windows have 5 panels and 10 panes, the first-floor windows have 20 panes, and the ground-floor windows have had their glazing bars removed, except for the upper sash of the left-hand window. All ground and first-floor windows are set within shallow window arches. A central porch is supported by simple posts. The building has internal end stacks. The ground-floor interior has been altered to form a single large bar.
