Description
No. 35 on Fore Street is a mid-19th century house located in Silverton. The main part of the building, which is on the right, has a brick front and a hipped slate roof, while the side range, which may be slightly older, is made of plastered cob and features a gabled-end slate roof. Both sections are two storeys tall, with the brick section being notably taller.
The front of the house has a symmetrical two-window arrangement, with the right-hand window bay recessed. It features deeply overhanging eaves and a moulded gutter box. All the windows have large keystones in flat arches and consist of 12-pane horned sashes. The lower range has two windows on the first floor, which are hornless sashes with three panes above and six below. There is a 12-pane horned sash window on the ground floor, located under a shallow window arch to the left of the front door. The front door is panelled and topped with a rectangular fanlight.
