Description

These are a pair of cottages located in Coldharbour, Uffculme. They were built in 1720. The walls are cob render over stone footings, and the roof is covered with asbestos slate. Each cottage has a single-depth, two-room plan; number 2 has a rear wing, likely added later. The cottages have end chimneys.

The front elevations each feature two window bays. The first floor has 2- and 3-light casement windows. The ground floor also has 2- and 3-light casement windows. Number 4 has a planked front door. An oval medallion bears the date and the name E. Rooch.

The interior was not inspected, but a deeply chamfered ceiling beam is present in number 4.
