Description
The gate-posts and boundary wall, located approximately 15 metres west of Heron Court, likely date from around 1830 to 1840, although the wall may be older. The gate-posts are made of stucco on brick with granite caps, while the wall consists of plastered cob on rubble footings, topped with slate coping and ridge tiles. The gate-posts feature slightly projecting plinths, channelled rustication on the main shafts, soffit-moulded capitals, and granite ball caps. The wrought-iron gates are from the 20th century. The tall wall separates the garden of Heron Court from the road and includes two secondary buttresses made of brick and rubble.
