Description

Heather Cottage is a house, possibly originally two cottages, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of plastered cob on stone rubble footings, with stone rubble or cob stacks topped with 19th and 20th-century brick, and features a thatch roof. The cottage has a two-room plan facing south with a central through passage. The left room includes a projecting rear lateral stack, while the right room has a projecting end stack. The front has an irregular arrangement of two 1 windows with 20th-century casements that do not have glazing bars. The first-floor windows are topped with thatch gables, with the right one being larger than the others. The door is from the 20th century. The interior was not available for inspection at the time of the survey.
