Description

4 and 6 Parsonage Lane are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. They are constructed of roughcast cob with stone footings and feature a gabled-end slate roof. The cottages are two-storeys high and have a large external end stack. The front, facing the road, has two doors and two 20th-century casement windows. The rear, which overlooks the garden, has a four-window range with 19th-century casements on the first floor.

Inside, there is a main cross beam and a half beam that are both chamfered and have scroll stops. The fireplace includes rubble jambs, a renewed lintel, and an oven. Adjacent to the stack is a newel with timber treads and risers.
