CHERITON FITZPAINE CHERITON FITZPAINE SS 80 NE 7/28 Beech Tree Cottage - GV II

House. Early C19. Roughcast rubble, rear refaced with C20 brick; rubble stacks topped with C19 and C20 brick; slate roof. 3-room plan house facing north-east with a through passage which includes the stair set between central and right (south-east) room. Axial stack between central and left room and right end stack. 2 storeys. Asymetrical 2-window front with horned replacement 12-pane sashes on the ground floor and small pointed arch-headed windows to the first. Plain service door at left end and 4-panel main door with C20 porch between the sash windows. The first floor window over the main door includes Victorian stained glass. Unmodernised interior. Included for group value.
