Description
This house dates from the 1790s and is located on St Andrew Street, Tiverton. It is constructed using mass wall techniques and is roughcast on the front, with the rear elevation clad in slate. It has a natural slate roof with gabled ends and chimney stacks with brick shafts. The house follows a double-depth plan, consisting of two rooms wide, and it exhibits deep boxed eaves supported by moulded brackets and an eaves board.
The exterior features a pilastered doorcase with an entablature and cornice, the pilasters incorporating sunk panels. The doorcase surrounds a six-panel door, with the upper panels being fielded. All windows have moulded architraves and small-pane double-hung sashes, except for one which has a four-pane sash. The first-floor windows are likely replacements, while the ground-floor windows appear original and unhorned. The interior has not been inspected but may contain noteworthy original features.
