Description
This is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century, located on St Peter Street, Tiverton. The house has solid, rendered external walls and a roof that is not visible from the street. Rendered chimneys are visible on the side walls, with the left-hand chimneys having small cornices.
The exterior is three storeys high with a basement and garret. It has two windows across the front. A raised band runs above the ground storey, and pilasters flank the front, supporting a top entablature and blocking course. The front door is a 6-panelled door with a fanlight featuring radial bars, set within a 20th-century Doric porch with a semicircular pediment. The windows are mostly sash windows with six panes, and bracketed sills. The basement windows have sashes with three panes, as do the top third storey windows. A round-arched window with small-paned sashes is visible on the left side wall, alongside another window with a six-paned fixed sash and a louvred transom light. A 6-panelled door is located at the left-hand end of the side wall.
The interior of the house has not been inspected.
The front area is enclosed by a railing made with alternating long and short uprights, two of the standards having scrolled tops.
