Description
This is a barn, likely originally a threshing barn, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of cob on a stone plinth and features a gable end roof made of corrugated iron. The barn has two sets of opposed wagon entrances, with one entrance having a roof that forms a catslide canopy. There are some old boarded doors at the front, which are probably from the 19th century. The roof is supported by two jointed cruck trusses, with the blades resting on templates set about 2 feet above ground level and pegged and morticed at the apex. Additionally, there are two other pegged and crossed collar rafter trusses.
