Description

This building is a former threshing barn and stable, located 10 metres north-west of Mortimer's Farmhouse. It likely dates from the 17th century and is constructed of rendered cob with stone on stone footings. The roof is made of corrugated iron and is gable-ended. There are opposing wagon entrances, one of which features a planked and studded door leading into the stable. The barn has some rear buttressing. The roof structure may consist of five jointed crucks that are morticed, halved, and pegged at the apex, although some of the trusses were concealed by bales of hay during the last survey visit. The building is currently used for general storage.
