Description
No. 7 High Street is a house located next to No. 5, dating from the mid-19th century and possibly incorporating earlier work. The building is constructed of rendered rubble and features a gable end slate roof, which has a ridge that is lower than that of No. 5. It has a double depth plan, with a shop to the left of the entrance and the principal room to the right. The left-hand end stack is shared with No. 5, while the right-hand end stack is positioned just behind the roof ridge and has a tall brick stack.
The front exterior is asymmetrical with a three-window arrangement. The first floor has hornless sash windows, with three panes above and six below. On the ground floor, there is a porch to the right of center, featuring attractive 19th-century open timber work with a canopy. To the left, there is a shop window with a hornless sash, consisting of six panes above and twelve below, and to the right, another hornless sash window with four panes above and eight below. The interior has not been inspected.
