Description
CULLOMPTON ST 00 NW 5/76 Peverstone Farmhouse - - II Farmhouse. Early-C19. Cob, stone plinth, plastered under slate hipped roof. Central staircase plan with 2 rear wings and rear yard. 2 storeys. Front: symmetrical 3-window range, 16-pane hornless sash windows; central porch with Tuscan columns and pilasters, dentilled and moulded cornice, under gabled-end slate roof. Heavy panelled door with rectangular fanlight, panelled reveals and soffit. Dentilled eaves cornice. Left-hand elevation : 4-light window to 1st floor, transom, 14 leaded panes per light, two 16-pane sash window(s) below, one unhorned; right-hand elevation: 1st floor with 16-pane horned sash window and a 4-light window, as to left-hand side, but most leaded panes missing; another 4-light window (leading almost gone) and 16-pane hornless sash window, below. To the end of each rear wing is a 2-light casement window, 1 light only with 15 leaded panes, the other light with stanchions. 2 axial stacks to each wing, brick shafts. Plain contemporary interior.
