Description
Meadow Lodge is a former lodge to Bolealler House, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of yellow brick, featuring red brick decorative courses and window arches, and has a gabled-end slate roof. The building has a Greek cross plan and is single-storey, with a central brick stack. Each elevation has single or paired round-headed windows, except for the gable end facing away from the roadside, which has square-headed paired windows. The front porch includes moulded capitals and a dentilled cornice, while the gable wall above features intricate pierced timberwork and bargeboarding. The roadside elevation has a gable oculus. The entrance wall and gatepiers, made of brick with stone coping and pyramidal caps, are also included in this listing.
