Description
The Bell Inn is a mid-19th century inn that has been recased from an earlier building. It is constructed of brick, with some cob and partly plastered sections, and features a gabled-end slate roof. The inn has two end stacks and one axial stack, all with brick shafts. It stands two storeys high and has a front with a four-window range, featuring 16 hornless pane sashes. There are two doorways that are recessed behind convex chamfered reveals, which run out to create the appearance of shouldered arches; the doors are panelled. A plat band contains the name of the inn, and rusticated quoins add to its architectural detail. Internally, there are some boxed beams that, according to a description from 1910, appear to date back to the 17th century.
