Description
This is a pair of semi-detached houses built in the mid-19th century, with the left house altered around 1900. The houses are primarily constructed of brick, with the front rendered. They feature a slate roof that has a gable end on the left and is hipped on the right, along with end chimney stacks on both sides and one axial chimney stack, all made of brick.
The houses have a double-depth plan with a central rear staircase and are two storeys high, each displaying a three-window range. The right house has five front windows with two-pane, unhorned sashes that include margin panes. The left house features bow windows with three panes and transoms, except for the narrower central window on the first floor, which has two panes. The first-floor windows above the transoms have Art Nouveau-style glazing and colored glass. Both houses have central porches with panelled doors and reveals, with the right porch being corbelled. There are semi-circular headed windows at the rear stairwells.
The interior is understood to have been altered. The building was previously listed under the name Cullompton Lower Bull Ring, with the former designation as Nos. 1 and 3.
