Description

Cove Bridge is a road bridge over the River Exe, built in 1791. It features an elegant single-span design with a tall segmental arch that includes a keystone and a small flood arch. On the upstream side, there is a small cutwater positioned between the main span and the flood arch. The stone rubble parapets rise to a central peak, contributing to the bridge's handsome appearance. It holds group value with a thatched toll-house or cottage located on the Stoodleigh side of the river.
