Description
Mol's Coffee House is a Grade I listed building located in Cathedral Close, dated 1596. It features a three-storey timber-framed front with two oriel windows on the first and second floors. These oriels are connected by window lights, creating a continuous window effect. Above them is a painted panel displaying the Royal Arms, which dates from around 1885 and replaces an earlier carved version. The third storey has a curly gable end and a gallery, both of which are from the 19th century, as is the double-front shop that includes gothic glazing bars. Inside, the first floor boasts late 16th-century panelling and carvings. The roof is not visible. All the listed buildings in Cathedral Close are part of a group value context.
