Description

No. 16 Cathedral Yard is a building from the 16th or 17th century, with some parts possibly being older. It has five stories and features a timber frame with a gabled plaster front. The ground floor has been modernized with shops, while the upper floors have splayed bays that have been altered to include 19th-century sash windows. The roof is made of slate. In 1933, a well believed to be of Roman origin was found in the basement. This building is part of a group that includes all the listed buildings in Cathedral Yard and nos. 1 and 2 Deanery Place.
