Description
The summerhouse, located approximately 70 meters southeast of Woodhayes Farmhouse, dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond, with stretcher bond on the front, and features a pantile roof. This small single-cell building faces south and is a single storey with a doorway on the north side, designed in the Gothic style.
The exterior showcases a three-window front with tall pointed arch-headed windows, all of equal size and adorned with limestone keystones. Each window includes timber mullions and Y-tracery, although the tracery patterns differ from one another. Secondary buttresses are positioned between the windows, and the rear doorway features a fanlight with yet another variation of Y-tracery. The roof is hipped at both ends. The interior has not been inspected.
