Description

Hamberhayne Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th or 18th century, constructed of roughcast stone. It features a slate roof with stone coping at the gable ends and stands two tall storeys high with a cellar. The façade includes a range of four widely spaced windows. On the left side, there is a projecting gabled wing that has a datestone inscribed with "1666" and another stone displaying the initials "EME" along with an incomplete date. The original openings have modern casement and bay windows with keystones. To the right of the wing, there is a plain doorway. The house has rendered brick ridge and end stacks. At the rear, there is a stone rubble wing from around the early 19th century, which includes external brick stairs leading to a loft door.
