Description

GOSFORD 1. ------- 1481 Lodge at Iron Gate SY 09 HE 3/95 II

  1. About 400 yards south of Sweethams. C19, 2 storey; roughcast, with thatched roof, hipped, coupled, diagonally set, chimneys at centre. Small scallop tiled porch with lancet windows. Small casement window on either side with heavy moulded Tudor dripmoulds. Round window on east side and 2 casements on west with similar dripmoulds. Stone monolithic gate pillars and short lengths of low walling. Iron gate is missing.
