Description
Ash Farmhouse and the attached barn date from the 17th century and are two storeys high with a thatched roof. The right side of the front is constructed from red brick with dark headers and features a band between the floors. The ground floor has casement windows with cambered arches. The left side is made of stone and includes a wing at right angles, also with casement windows, along with a barn extension. There is an added gabled porch. The outbuildings have been altered, including changes to the roofs which are now covered with sheeting. This site was once the location of an ancient mansion that belonged to the Treleys and Bonvilles families, and it later passed to the Crown following the attainder of the Duke of Norfolk.
