Description

Nos 4 and 5 on Alfington Road are a building from the 17th century or early 18th century, originally thatched but now featuring a sheeting roof. The exterior is roughcast, and each house has two very small casement windows on the first floor with glazing bars. There are vertical buttresses between the houses and at the left side, which is the south. The entrances are plain and have wide-boarded doors. A central stone chimney serves the building. Nos 4 to 8 form a group in a prominent position.
