Description
1 and 3 Central Place, 2 and 4 Central Place, 137A High Street, and the rears of 135 and 135A High Street are a group of buildings likely dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some alterations. They are two storeys tall and feature a picturesque court with cottages on either side. The structures are made of timber framing and brick, with leaded casements and sash windows. The east side mainly has flush frame sash windows with glazing bars, and there are two hoods on iron brackets above the doors. The back entrance of No 135A High Street has a notable fanlight. On the west side, there are four three-light leaded casements on the first floor.
