Description

The Jubilee Memorial is a tall brick square column, built in a style reminiscent of the 18th century, to commemorate the 1897 jubilee of Queen Victoria. It features stone steps, a base, and a cap with a cornice, which is topped by an orb and cross. Each side of the column has four raised brick panels, while the north and south sides display stone panels with inscriptions. The cornice is decorated with an egg and dart bedmould, situated above a frieze that has triglyph fluting.
